This innovative application allows you to listen to the stories of the people portrayed in the multimedia exhibition We are Brazil. Just place your phone in front of the picture and start listening.We are Brazil is a multimedia exhibition and book created by British artist Marcus Lyon. The project explores the diversity of Brazilian identity in the early 21st century through high quality pictures, activated soundscapes through an application and DNA information. Over a period of six months, Marcus traveled to Brazil to explore the farthest corners of the country with the producer Camila Pastorelli of ImageMagica and gravadorista and Luciano Bonomo camera assistant. Together they mapped the ancestral DNA, personal stories and visual identity of 104 notable Brazilians. Brazil uses are the three elements of identity, visual, spoken and genetic, which together illuminate the personal, social and cultural diversity of Brazil. The work extends the stories of people indicated and encourages us to reflect on our own identities and roles in socidedade.
